Scholarship season is underway! The Elks National Foundation offers scholarships to children and grandchildren of Elk members. If you have a child or grandchild in High School encourage them to apply for a Legacy Award.

How can You Apply?

The Elks National Foundation provides more than $3 million in college scholarships each year to graduating high school seniors. The “Most Valuable Student,” Eagle Scout, and Girl Scout Gold Award scholarships are open to any graduating high school senior.

Legacy Awards and Emergency Educational Fund Grants are available only to children of Elks. The application process and deadlines vary for each of the programs. All applications, except for the scouting scholarships, must go through a local Elks Lodge before reaching the Elks National Foundation office. Contact your high school counselor for more information or your local Elks Lodge.

Most Valuable Student” Scholarships 500 four-year scholarships, ranging from $1,000 per year to $7,500 per year, for graduating high school seniors based on financial need, leadership and scholarship. Check out what some of our past winners have had to say.

Boy and Girl Scout Scholarships

The Gunther & Lee Weigel Medical School Scholarship
$24,000 scholarships offered to Elks scholars (current or alum)
entering their first year of medical school.
Winners of local Lodge scholarships and State Elks Association scholarships are not eligible for this program.
This program is not open to the general public.

Legacy Awards
One-year merit-based scholarships for children of Elks
who are members in good standing.

Emergency Education Fund Grants
One-year educational grants available to children of
deceased or totally incapacitated Elks.
